American Canyon Food Distribution
This month we continued volunteering with the local Food Pantry, Kiwanis, and Catholic Charities to organize, transport, and distribute food. Some volunteers meet at the food pantry and help to pack bags of nonperishable food into cars. The other volunteers convene at the Boys and Girls club house to help distribute both the nonperishables from the food pantry and Kiwanis as well as donations of fresh produce from Catholic Charities. All volunteers are required to wear masks and gloves throughout the event. Submitted by MaeLing Hayes |

Tree Care Days
Partnering with a local nonprofit, the Benicia Tree Foundation, members visited Lake Herman to help out with a variety of tasks. This month's job was to water trees. Members were provided with water buckets and worked for 3 hours while maintaining social distancing rules. The foundation plans to partner with Key Club in the future to plant trees at the Benicia High School campus once the school allows. Submitted by Alli McCabe |

Recruitment Video
The board of officers each sent in clips of themselves explaining why they enjoy Key Club. After the clips were collected, they were combined together to form a minute long advertisement to be shown to members of Benicia High, encouraging them to join Key Club. Key Club International Summer Leadership Conference
At the Key Club International Summer Leadership Conference from July 1st to 3rd held over zoom, my secretary attended Culture of Care workshops, while I attended District Governor and Lieutenant Governor workshops. We both gained great tips and advice on being a leader and caring for others, as well as learning to take time to relax and breathe for ourselves.

Interclub Event: Color A Smile
The D08's Interclub Event: Color A Smile was a time to back away from what's been happening and just relax! Everyone was coloring pages for a nonprofit organization called Color A Smile. Our cute pictures were given to senior citizens, people overseas, or just someone who needs a smile. Submitted by Chenelle Espiritu |
